PVs in Urban Brownfields. Brown fiels represents former industrial wastelands that now exist as barren soil only.
We will examine and measure some brownfield PV potential in the Urban ares of Philadelphia PA, and Eugene OR.

The idea is to identify "large scale" brownfield areas (defined as at least 500 meters x 500 meters) in these urban areas and see what their solar resource potential is.

So in addition to measuring the one given for each location, try to identify and measure at least 3 other brownfields within the "urban boundary".

In the summer, about 1 sq KM of PV area will give you 100 MW of electrical power!
