A recent article in the Wall Street Journal, used "government" figures to assert that Americans are now consuming 1.1% less gas than before and that this is the first time in 16 years for such a drop. This, of course, is attributed to the high price.

You can now check if consumption has decreased - note that the data shows it always decreases from January to February.

In addition, this data actually shows there is not that big of difference in seasonal use patterns.
